EulumdatTools updated to use Eclipse 2020-09 and JRE

EulumdatTools updated to use Eclipse 2020-09 and include JRE

EulumdatTools is using the Eclipse application framework and that updates to a new version every quarter.

We follow the recent upgrade to version 2020-09 to take advantage of all speed and stability upgrades.

Bug fixes in version 0.14.15.v20201015

  • Take advantage of justJ eclipse project to include JRE with executable. We include a minimal stripped java 11.0.2 for now to reduce program size [886]
  • resolved some more major and minor maintainability issues reported by Sonarqube. [884]
  • Fixed possible ConcurrentModificationException in the UniqueItemCode validator [887]

Bug fixes in version 0.14.14.v20201012

  • Take advantage of justJ eclipse project to include JRE with executable. We include java 11.0.2 for now though this makes the program much bigger [886]
  • resolved all vulnerabilities and bugs reported by Sonarqube. [884]

Bug fixes in version 0.14.14.v20200717

  • fixed a problem where blogger and youtube URL's redirected to external browser on MacOS [875]

Bug fixes in version 0.14.14.v20200713

  • You can look at the New and Noteworthy for the Eclipse Platform 2020-06 here [871]
  • EulumdatTools should run on all java versions from Java SE 11 to Java 14 [874]

No need to install Java, JRE 11.0.2 is included with the executable

Windows 10 users: performance issues?

Windows 10 Defender significantly slows down Eclipse, reason being Windows 10 Defender scanning the JAR files. The problem has been reported to Microsoft here. Until then, a workaround to this problem is to add Eclipse root directory to Windows 10 Defender's exclusion list, detailed steps are shared here.
